Bishop Robert Mutsaerts was initially hopeful about Leo XIV’s pontificate but is now beginning to have doubts. Pope Leo XIV ultimately bears responsibility for the decision to deny traditional Catholic pilgrims entry into St. Peter’s Basilica, Bishop Mutsaerts told The Remnant on October 26. While unsure whether Leo personally knew about the decision, Mutsaerts insisted: “Well, in the end, he is responsible. [...] Whatever the opposition might be in the Curia, you’re responsible.” Asked how long Catholics should continue giving Pope Leo the benefit of the doubt, Mutsaerts replied: “I was very hopeful in the beginning. Starting a little bit doubting. Maybe that’s not right to do that. [...] I hope things will turn out for the best.”

The organisers of the annual pilgrimage Summorum Pontificum ‘Cœtus Internationalis Summorum Pontificum’ published an October 27 statement about the Vatican’s rejection to enter St Peter’S basilica. The text confirms that no Solemn Pontifical Mass was ever intended at St Mary Major Basilica, thus a supposed downgrading of such a liturgy to a low Mass was a false rumour. A little known information is that the Marian basilica wasn’t offered by the Vatican as an alternative. The organizers contacted Cardinal Rolandas Makrickas, archpriest of Saint Mary Major, who agreed to hold the Mass in the basilica. Joseph Shaw, president of Una Voce International, believes that “the organizers considered this year's pilgrimage a success: in fact, an almost miraculous success”. ‘Cheesecake Factory’ Jab Rankles Trump on Mississippi Campaign Stop nytimes.com/…ab-rankles-trump-on-mississippi-camp… Former President Barack Obama had cast his successor as out of touch while jabbing at his extravagant sense of style. Mr. Trump responded at length. By Chris Cameron Oct. 26, 2026 Former President Barack Obama has struck a nerve with President Trump. Mr. Trump took time from campaign issues to defend his fixation on remodeling the White House in his second term on Monday after Mr. Obama jabbed that “he’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory.” Mr. Trump spoke for several minutes about the remark on his way to a campaign swing in Mississippi, then delivered an extensive aside there on the White House ballroom, helipad and other projects. He was in the solidly Republican state, which has been shifting toward Democrats, as part of his swing through ruby red America to shore up candidates ahead of the midterms. The journey begun in Assisi in 1986 is “first and foremost the path of prayer”, Pope Leo XIV said in his video message to the Assisi peace meeting on its 40th anniversary. Leo XIV offered a questionable definition of prayer as “a school of dialogue with God, with people and with all creatures”. His message is constructed largely through quotations from John Paul II, Francis and himself. He believes that the “spirit of Assisi” must help build peace [without Christ]. Leo XIV added: “The path of Assisi calls religious leaders to foster a climate of dialogue amongst the faithful and within society, so that the language of arrogance may give way to the language of peace, negotiation and understanding.” #newsQmfgpropmf
SSPX bishop calls Assisi event 'great scandal … “This is a great, great scandal. It’s an offense against the first commandments of God,” stressed Goldade. As a result, the Catholic prelates involved did more than bring “our Lord down to the level of a false religion.”
BREAKING: The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry has concluded that Israel has committed war crimes and crimes against humanity, including extermination, persecution, torture, rape and other forms of sexual violence, across the Occupied Palestinian Territory, while continuing the genocide in Gaza. The report also accused Israeli forces of deliberately targeting Palestinian children, using sexual violence to intimidate and displace communities, and expanding territorial control through forced displacement. More than 34,000 Palestinians remained displaced in the West Bank as of August 2026. megatron_ron

For the second year running, Cardinal Blase Cupich of Chicago wants to honour abortion politicians. In 2025, Senator Dick Durbin withdrew following protests by bishops. This year, Michael J. Sacks - who donated $600,000 to an Illinois initiative that provides abortion including at Planned Parenthood - is set to receive the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Nostra Aetate Award on 29 October. Cardinal Cupich has defended the decision. In a statement issued yesterday, he wrote: 'Simply put, honouring individuals who do not share core Catholic teachings recognises their dignity, leadership role, and service to their community, without implying an endorsement of every statement or stance they maintain.'
Jordan Church Attack: 'Takfiri' Extremists Arrested | SG News Jordanian authorities have revealed major new details about the men accused of carrying out the deadly attack on a Christian funeral at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Karak. For first time in 500 years, pope and king of … Pope Leo XIV and King Charles III of England have bestowed honorary religious titles upon each other, the first time this has happened in 500 years according to the official website of the British Royal Family. “With the gracious approval of His Majesty the King, the Dean and Canons of Windsor are delighted to announce that His Holiness Pope Leo XIV has become Papal Confrater of the College of St. George at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor,” states the text published on Oct.23. The announcement highlights that both leaders sought to underscore the ties between Christian traditions, within a global context marked by polarization and conflict. “Mindful of the value of Christian unity, in an increasingly polarised and turbulent world, The King and The Pope have joined together in Christian brotherhood and, for the first time in half a millennium, are receiving religious titles which underscore what unites rather than what separates the Roman …Dugang pa

@Andwith Thy Spirit Still listening to fake seers who keep repeating old prophecies while adding a touch of their own fake ones. When will you people learn? Why do to these fake seers when GOD has given you direct prophecies and warnings from our SAINTS! Well, stubborn people always learn the hard way. Sometimes in the worse ways there is. But you don't care. I know as long as you get a thrill over it, you won't stop. No matter what we say or post or explain or how they are exposed.
Yes! Of course you call me a troll. But it's you that is and much worse. I said it before. If you insist on posting propaganda, be ready for me and my proof, my facts. Don't like it? You know what to do. Block me or deal with it. Don't want to do either one? That's fine too. But don't expect me to stand by while you post propaganda to suite your agenda. That's a real no no. Now I will stop here. I will try to avoid you like the plague. You seek to provoke me only to get views. Which in the end is good. Because they will see my proof against your mere propaganda. So sorry, but you asked for it. Now seek your views elsewhere. I will try to avoid you and make my own posts against yours. Whatever I will do, I will do it by the help and guidance of The Most Pure Virgin Mary who has always been there for me and helping me through it all.
The Notre-Dame-de-Pitié chapel in Pulligny, Meurthe-et-Moselle, northeastern France, faces demolition following a municipal safety order issued on August 26. Structural damage worsened and raised fears of collapse. Built in 1868 to designs by architect Léon Vautrin, the Neo-Romanesque and Neo-Gothic chapel was financed by parish priest Abbé Joseph-Pierre Clément and blessed on June 24, 1868. Local authorities closed the surrounding area to traffic and announced plans to demolish the building, while expressing an intention to preserve its bells. However, heritage organization Urgences Patrimoine disputes the necessity of demolition. According to the group, a 2023 assessment by CAUE 54 had already recommended urgent conservation measures, but these were never implemented. No restoration estimate was commissioned before demolition was proposed. Urgences Patrimoine initiated in October a legal challenge, seeking to contest the safety order. Once again, the hypocrisy and deceitfulness of Prevost’s false peace are laid bare: while he parrots the mantra of “everyone, everyone, everyone” and “open doors” to promote illegal immigration, he closes the doors—and expels—those Catholics who refuse to join his rebellion against God and the Church.
Vatican spokesman: TLM procession application not specific enough
Vatican says Summorum Pontificum organizers should have requested prayer inside St Peter's basilica instead of procession. The refusal to authorize the annual Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage procession concerned only the procession itself, Matteo Bruni, director of the Holy See Press Office, told the Substack.com-account 'The Pillar' on October 26. The Secretariat of State’s rejection referred “exclusively to the procession, because that’s ordinarily not allowed, not even for dioceses that come in pilgrimage.” Bruni added: “If the organizers wanted to hold an [alternate] activity such as Eucharistic adoration or prayer, they should’ve made a specific request to that end.” However, the Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage had included a procession every October since 2012. The Vatican Press Office has not exactly established a reputation for scrupulous regard for the truth. Picture: Una Voce Sevilla, #newsLucfjpygoo
